WW 27th August 2008

You
really must admit.
You would have had to have had
a moderately interesting day
to have found that
boring.
The trick of walking on Dartmoor
is
careful preparation.
Ensure you operate at
the lowest levels of excitement.
Then,
that mizzle,
spurt of water,
someone falling in the leat,
even
tying their bootlace,
takes on a whole new dimension
of interest.

WW 20th August 2008

He's back
Yes
After a 3 month rest
Back there
Doing it
Like a good 'un
Going to prove
That if you strive hard enough
You really do get it
Do you?

WW 13th August 2008

At last
a nice drop
of rain.
Just in time.
Up the Cleave
round
back over the Tors.
Then to the pub.
See.
It's not too hard
to do it
properly!

WW 6th August 2008

Just typical
that's what I call it
and at our age.
Just when
we have got the hang of it.
15 years of training.
Just how
are we supposed to cope?
We all know how it goes...
left foot
right foot
left foot
right foot
pub.
But no.
left foot
right foot
pub
left foot
right foot.
I ask you
whatever next?

Tom's 60th

There we all were
a BIG secret.
Many of us

had quite
forgotten

why we were there.
But then,
it all became clear.
He arrived

he really was just 60!
And with all that hair!
The lucky, lucky, lucky
Tom!

You really do have to be there ...
