A predictably strong party gatheredfor the annual trek to the summits.
They were favoured by fine weather
and a gentle breeze from the north.
As they set off from the car park
round the rapidly lowering reservoir.
Out onto the open moor and soon
directly up towards their first peak.
As the sun lazily set they enjoyed
their refreshments looking East.
On now along the ridge with the sun
gone as they reached their second peak.
Then down in the last of the light
back to the cars and soon on to the pub.
Just as it should be on a perfect evening.
