Out the five went up the Swincombe. At the little reservoir thanks was given that it did not turn into the vast lake that many wanted. Along Wheal Emma leat to the Newtake wall then up to Mount Misery where consideration was given to the derivation of this bleak name. On to Ter Hill crosses where one was found to be the wrong way round. Down along Broad Down to the cars and on to the Forest Inn where the new management was found to be jolly and the food fine.
