A full 20 miler - now there's a thing
And, it hardly rained at all
In fact a warm and most pleasant evening
To set out from the Castle Inn
Onto Route 27
Nice tarmac most all the way
Past familiar places for cream teas and beer
Past the scuttling rabbits
Past the platelayers hut
Over the viaducts
Through the twiddly bits
To Okehampton Station
For a nice cuppa
And back
Now that is odd
At night it gets dark
And tarmac, for some unknown reason, is quite dark
Back to nestle in the settles at the pub
