TWW 30th May 2017

A very nice change in the weather; not too hot, not too sunny with the promise of a shower - very nice for a good walk. Out from Statt's Bridge and along the track to California. Straight out to the forest boundary to pick up the track. Round and down and up and round and along past the Cube Stone to the clapper and Teignhead Farm. A nice place for a cuppa. Either up to Whitehorse or round by the wonderful Manga Farm, Rails and Rock. Whatever, quite a steep and long pull to the ridge to admire the cist. Along for lunch as the rain tried but made no impression. Qintin's Man and Sittaford then a diversion to the recently discovered stone circle. A fantastic place as the stones emerged from the gloopy ground. Back along to Grey Wethers and finding faint tracks to White Hill. By the wall and over the corn ditch back to the cars.
Well worth taking a picnic!

You really do have to be there ...
