TWW 24th April 2018

Now that made a change, back to some proper Dartmoor weather even though we weren't there.
From Kit Hill and out and round, clockwise of course, to South Mine to find all the buddles. And on round and up to the summit where the plaques showed us what could be seen for miles and miles. To the quarry where the tadpoles were not and a nice spot for a cuppa. Then down, down, down, down and even more down. Down the inclined plane and way on down by High Trip Hill to Old Mill and Higherland; interestingly Ireland on the old maps. Through the woods to find the most fantastic, magical place with mud sculptures, games to play, a spiral and lots of lovely birds to see. On to the the deer park where HRH permissively allows us to tread. Then up and up, up and up and up a bit more to Clitters and on to the open moor back to the cars. To The Rifle Volunteer where the pies were well up to standard.

You really do have to be there ...
