WW 26th April 2017

Yes, we could, still get through although the signing seems to be slowly disappearing. Emmets Post is well gone, into storage so they say. Out on a crisp, sunny evening with a big black cloud disappearing over the South Hams. To find the narrowest of gaps though the china clay works to Luxton Tor. Onward with fine views over Plymouth to the magnificent Hawks Tor to ponder just how the shepherd's shelter was built. The 'H' stones remain a mystery so along to Collard Tor. Hemerdon mine is growing and growing and the huge solar array stood out in the setting sun. We did not dig but did wonder just what was worth digging for. Round and down to RAF Hawks Tor just in time for a cuppa and a superb sighting of Iridium 7 in a clear, clear sky. Neatly round and by the star signs to pick our way through the gap and back to the cars. Some then went to the Rock, another went somewhere else...

You really do have to be there ...
