What a super time of year to go for a walk round Meldon. Sun shining bright and views far, far and wide. Up from the car park and along admiring all the wonderful trees and flowers. Down by the secret path and over the bridge where the wire has been cut to the West Okement. Round the reservoir to find the new picnic spot for a cuppa. By the dam and down to the quarry and woods. Lots and lots to see as the early Spring flowers are hanging on. Round underneath the viaduct and over the bridge to head gently upward. The banks full of vetch and lots of others. To the Fox and Hounds for a nice lunch and lashes of chips.
