Surprisingly cool; very pleasant weather for a walk. From High Down and over a very low Lyd by the stepping stones. Round by the memorial and steadily up to Doe where the flag was flying. Down to the ford to Wheal Frederick for a nice cuppa - the gable end still stands ... Into the fantastic gerts and roundily up to the real, proper Dick's Well which was quite dry. Back by the track in a cool breeze to the Mary Tavy Inn where our table was set and nice lunches arrived.
They say rain is on the way but it is very hard to believe.
