WW 29th May 2019
The mist was gently down on the tops on a mild evening - shouldn't cause too many navigation problems. But could that really be the cannon on the north ridge of Tryfan? And the magic View Ranger definitely showed we were on Ben Nevis!
From Lane End after the rain had stopped to wind up the leat to the take off. To take a nice winding track gently up the slope to Tavy Cleave Tor as a cuckoo flew across. Onward to seek out Hare and some shelter for a nice cuppa. Avoiding the pixies we managed to make our way down by Ger and back to the cars. Not been to the Elephant's Nest for a good time, a nice fire in the grate and a warm welcome for a cooling pint of Proper Job.
A fine evening to be out and about on our lovely moor.
