WW 8th May 2019
Of course that rain never came. And with all this nice cool weather the Meavy bluebells are still in full bloom. Out from the Green and by the school to Yeo where a huge oil beetle was well spotted. Up and into the fantastic woods where the bluebells are as wonderful as ever. A tad early but a beautiful spot to rest for a cuppa. Out to Sheepstor where the new house is almost finished. Round to Joey's Lane where one of the famous Burrator black rabbits ran across the road.By where the woods once stood and down to Longstone to explore the threshing floor. Very carefully we crept through the gate to the forbidden lands. Out and round by the improved path, over both dams and down to The Royal Oak - which was surprisingly quiet.
